Premium open-world adventure
Laya’s Horizon is a premium adventure game from the Snowman team, the mobile game studio behind Alto’s Adventure and Alto’s Odyssey. This experience is designed to bring players to an entirely new world, complete with an original story and a new cast of characters. Players will be tasked with completing missions as they go around its large map, saving the world while uncovering the protagonist’s past.
Graphics-wise, Laya’s Horizon sports the same simplistic design, including the use of soft colors and low-poly shapes. However, it is a 3D experience with a satisfying playthrough length owing to its open-world nature.

Another aspect of the game to watch out for is the in-game physics. Since it involves maneuvering in mid-air through the use of a wingsuit, there’s a separate learning curve. It’s not intuitive because it’s not entirely straightforward nor is it entirely realistic. Other than that, the game is surprisingly optimized like its predecessors, despite the massive leap in terms of content and visuals.

If you’re familiar with any of the Alto games, or any other titles with the same relaxing visuals, Laya’s Horizon is definitely right up your alley. It’s more of a lively RPG set in a 3D open world, still with the same appealing color palette. Once you get past the new mechanics involved in moving and navigating, this is a definite treat.
